From nine thousand funds to three that fit

The filters answer the questions everyone asks when choosing a fund.

  1. Enter what you know: an exchange ticker, the international ISIN code, part of the name or the name of an index. The same fund can be found by any of them.

What is inside an ETF before you buy it

Every fund has one permanent address based on its ISIN, whichever exchange you came to it from.

  1. Fee, assets under management, index replication method and other key parameters are gathered at the top of the page: ten seconds is enough to understand what kind of fund this is.

Funds linked to your portfolio and stocks

The catalogue does not live on its own: funds appear wherever they help you make a decision.

UCITS for investors in Europe

A retail investor in the EU can usually buy European UCITS funds rather than American ETFs. The catalogue puts both worlds side by side, clearly labelled.

  • European and American funds in one table
  • Domicile filter: Ireland, Luxembourg and others
  • Tickers and currencies on each exchange
  • One fund address based on the ISIN

ETF overlaps in your portfolio

Two funds with different names can hold the same stocks. The hints in My portfolio spot this on their own.

  • Funds with overlapping holdings
  • Duplicates: two funds on one index
  • Concentration in one sector, funds included

Which funds hold a stock

Any stock’s page shows which ETFs include it and at what weight. Handy if you want to buy an idea through a fund.

  • A list of funds with the stock’s weight in each
  • One click to the fund page
  • Alongside: the stock’s institutional holders

Funds on dividend aristocrats

If you would rather not build a portfolio of sixty companies, the aristocrats page shows European UCITS funds that follow the same strategy.

  • UCITS funds as an alternative to individual stocks
  • Alongside, a table of the companies themselves with a quality check

Questions about ETFs

The essentials of choosing a fund, in brief

What is UCITS and why does it matter?

UCITS is the European standard for investment funds. Brokers usually offer retail investors in the EU exactly these funds, while American ETFs are unavailable. That is why popular indices have European versions, most often registered in Ireland or Luxembourg.

How does an accumulating fund differ from a distributing one?

An accumulating fund (Acc) keeps the dividends it receives inside the fund and reinvests them, so the unit price grows. A distributing fund (Dist) pays dividends out to your account. Which suits you better depends on your goals and the taxes in your country.

What is TER?

Total Expense Ratio, the fund’s annual fee as a percentage of the amount invested. It is not charged separately; it is already reflected in the unit price. All else being equal, a fund with a lower TER returns more over the long run.

Why does one fund have several tickers?

A fund can trade on several exchanges, with its own ticker and currency on each. The fund itself is still one, and its ISIN identifies it unambiguously. On InvestHub a fund has one address based on its ISIN, and all its listings are shown on its page.

Do I need a subscription to use the catalogue?

No. Search, filters and the fund page are open without sign-up. The Infinite subscription unlocks the full fund holdings, up to one hundred positions, and the ETF screener in the dashboard.
